Euro Preview 2008 (Part VI)

And the preview rolls on.

France

Ah, France, home of the best fries and toast in the world.

Also the home of, berets, toads, the pencil mustache, unshaven females, the Eiffel tower, the Tour de France and short dudes on horses.

This is not a WAG, but it is a blond chick with a painted on jersey and as I always say you can never go wrong with a girl with painted on clothes.

Greece (Defending Champions)

Motto = “Freedom or Death” I for one choose Freedom.

These guys chose death.

I have no fucking clue who this is, but I typed in Greek soccer wives in Google and this picture showed up. For a night with her I would consider choosing death.

Euro 2008 Preview (Part V) - Who's not there

Big ups to the Yeti for taking the preview under his wing. I'm sure it's not easy (unless it is).

There's one glaring omission from the Euro 2008 field of 16. That would be the English.

Here is England:

If the English made the cut, they'd most definitely win (based on WAGs). They pretty much invented the WAG. The tabloids in England go crazy over taking pictures of these gold diggers while they shop, party, or sunbathe. Which is rather convenient for anybody with internet access.

Here's a few representative WAGs from the English side.

Alex Curran. Wife of Steven Gerrard. Likes to buy things and look good.

Colleen McLoughlin. Fiancee of Wayne Rooney.

Victoria Beckham. Pretty much the original WAG. Sometimes she doesn't look coked up and can look good.

Cheryl Tweedy. Wife of Ashley Cole. My favorite. Is also in some band called Girls Aloud. Whatever.

Carly Zucker. Girlfriend of Joe Cole.

Gemma Atkinson. Former girlfriend of Alan Smith. Also former girlfriend of Cristiano Ronaldo. As Harry would say: Check out the funbags on that hosehound.

There are plenty more but these are the ones I felt like posting.

Based on all this, England wins. Big.

Euro 2008 Preview (part IV)

Let the preview continue

Sweden

The Scandinavian representative.

It is my understanding that anywhere you look in Sweden you will find hot girls. If indeed that is that case there could be all sorts of fantastic terrain in Sweden that I would never see if I were to visit.

Just another example of a Swedish female, this one just happens to date a footballer. His name is inconsequential at this point.

Czech Republic

The Czech Republic has only been around since 1993, so if you have been in a coma for 19 years it is new to you.

Hey, let's build our town around a penis looking church on a hill!!

This is Milan Baros's girlfriend and if you want to be totally e-creepy you can be her facebook friend.

The second half of the Euro 2008 Preview will show up shortly.

Euro 2008 Preview (part III)

I know what you are thinking, why is this guy posting maps when pictures of girls in skimpy clothes could take up that space? And I don't really have a good answer for that question so on with the previews.

Poland

Because it is Poland and there are no scenic places you get covers of their tabloids that call for the removal of German captain Michael Ballack's head. Imagine if the Boston newspapers had pictures Doc Rivers holding up Kobe's head? I guess this would only be equal if Los Angeles launched a major continental war that just happened to traipse through New England, so never mind.

On to the good stuff

I am pretty sure one of these girls is Miss Poland. Which one? Your guess is as good as mine. If I could read Polish I could probably tell you who is who, but she brought friends and took a picture and that is good enough for me.

Germany

Yeah, I am pretty sick of the maps too, but consider it cultural education.

The German Alps

The other German Alps

Euro 2008 Preview (part II)

There are tons of Euro 2008 preview out there written by people who know far more about football (soccer for the the average American) than me. So the preview here at Just Rub Some Sugar On It will not focus on the football at all, just the scenery.

Portugal

Holy shit another map (I am sensing a theme here, and that theme is lazy)

Yep, I would rather be there, with her...

Nereida Gallardo, GF of Cristiano Ronaldo (probably the best player in the world, even though he is a diver and a little bit of a queen).

Spain

The second team from the Iberian peninsula.

Just another ocean scene to remind me how bad it sucks to live in the Midwest.

Do I know this chicks name? Not so much, but I do know she has (had?) a thing with Sergio Ramos and that is more than enough to get her picture on here.

Austria (Co-host)

Yes, this is a map of Austria. If you ever happen to meet Ms. Teen South Carolina 2007 make sure you mention that you have knowledge of the map of Austria, she will undoubtedly be impressed.

Damn Austria looks nice, but not quite as nice as this...

Miss Austria 2006

I searched high and low (2 minutes on google) for a picture of an Austrian WAG, but since no one has heard of anyone who plays on their national team there was nothing to be found. You will just have to make do with Tatjana Batinic.

Switzerland (Co-host)

Ah ha! A map of Switzerland.

Well Switzerland looks good too, but as an added bonus they are less likely to go to war with you. OK now onto the only part of this you are really going to look at.

Miss Switzerland 2006 Christa Rigozzi

Once again no easy access to WAGs so we dip back into the Miss "your country here" pool. Why are we living back in 2006, because the chicks are hotter there, that is why.

You have now been introduced to the host countries of Euro 2008. Stay tuned for the previews of the other 14 participants.

Imagine another 5 good years of this

I had a poster growing up, and it looked like this:

The fine print says: What do you get when you cross a lion and a freight train? You get out of the way.

It's a long video, but just imagine for a few minutes that Barry Sanders didn't retire. Another 5 years of this:

A lot of kids I knew growing up loved the Cowboys. If Barry Sanders had the mid-90's Cowboys line, hed never be touched in yardage. Barry walked away. Emmitt dragged it out on the Cardinals/Dancing with the Stars. Fuck Emmitt.

Barry Sanders is the man.

And now, for something funny:

IRB's Classy People of the Week: June 5th

This week's classy people of the week are a group of folks that like to party - hockey players. Who doesn't like to party? Not anybody I want to know. Following a big win (say in game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals), the team likes to party. Lord Stanley's Cup is by far the best trophy/cup/medal/ribbon/bowl you can win. You spend your whole life training for it. You spend 2 months growing a playoff beard for it. There is only one Stanley Cup, and it keeps growing. If your team wins the cup, you're on it forever. However, the cup is classy mainly because you can put things in it.

What things? How about, say, a 6 month old baby. Nothing classier than putting your child up about 6 feet in the air in a bowl for a photo opportunity.

Now, it's well know that hockey players (much like baseball players) like to drink. Well goddamn, you can put booze in it too!

After that, you drink out of the cup.

Traditionally, players can take the cup home with them for a day. Each player can do what they want with it, as long as they're accompanied by a member of the Hockey Hall of Fame.

It's gotta be awkward standing outside a guys bedroom when you know he's doing this with the cup:

Of course, the gayestclassiest thing hockey players do immediately follows the end of the game. They cheer, yell, cry, and then jump in a man-pile around the cup. Example:

That's a big beard-pile.

Blogging Fever!

Hey guys - this post is actually somewhat serious.

As most of you know some college friends and I have some houses in South Bend we rent out for football games and to students/young professionals. Right now we're in the middle of a rehab project on a house and I set up another blog to post updates on the progress of the project to share with my partners in Chicago and anyone else on the web who cares. Check it out at 611Twyckenham.blogspot.com. Guess where it's located.

Also be sure to look at or new updated website in alpha mode now. Please send me any comments you have to help us improve the site. Here's our current website for comparison - gamedayhousing.com. We are trying to become the stubhub of private rental houses for football games and other events - let us know what we need to add to get there.
